Not only working in remote locations but the facilities and commitment to owning their own equipment and full-service facilities help to deliver to their customers minimal interruptions to the project at hand.
Our Goondiwindi Workshop
Gore Earthmoving and Excavation has a complete workshop with pits, overhead crane and fully trained diesel mechanics who are responsible for servicing and repairing Gore’s large fleet of trucks and Heavy Earthmoving equipment. Gore’s have taken their workshop one step further with a full inventory of spare parts. This helps eliminate machinery downtime for servicing or repairs. The workshop also employs a trade qualified Boilermaker, who also repairs machinery as required or can turn their hand at building custom parts to help complete a particular job.
Gore Earthmoving and Excavation Goondiwindi has completed full integration of the Navman Wireless GPS fleet management and tracking system on all heavy earthworks machinery and transport vehicles in its fleet. What does this mean to the customer? There is a lot this system can do but the most essential of these being to accurately charge for production time. The system can identify when equipment is sitting idle or when it is in production, keeping a full computer log of the times, which means that all billable time is accurate and accounted for. Which means as a customer you are only being charged for the time the machinery is operational and you don’t pay for expensive downtime. The system can also identify at a glance where a machine or truck is currently located, this can help when advising customers of timeframes of vehicle arrival, saving delays and confusion. As part of the full system, a log is created of the operational hours which is fed back to Gore’s Workshop so the Workshop supervisor can schedule servicing of equipment in a timely fashion, which, in the long haul, keeps machines working for longer. Some of the Benefits to our customers on the Navman Wireless system are:
- Greatly enhanced customer service by using real-time information to make proactive decisions and to deliver instant and accurate information for our customers.
- Reassurance of billing with improved timesheet accuracy and factual data.
- Improved productivity by sending the closest vehicle to a customers site.
- Effectively managing vehicle maintenance to make sure the fleet is always running.
